In my house, I make this with leftover red wine (stored in the fridge, which is where you store leftover red wine), ice cubes, and whatever fizzy drink I have around. Lately that's the passionfruit Topo Chico, which always seems to be on sale.
The glug glug glug of cheap red wine over ice cubes is a balm to the soul.
